We are excited to welcome you and your child to the Fauquier Youth Cheerleading program—an extension of over 30 years of youth sports tradition in our community. We are proud to continue inspiring young athletes to grow in confidence, teamwork, and school spirit through cheerleading.

Fall 2025 Registration Fees

Regular Registration: $125

The registration fee includes your cheer uniform and participation in the FYF Summer Cheer Camp.

Payment Options:

We offer full payment at registration, payment plans, and accept vouchers from Fauquier County Parks & Recreation.

Who We Welcome

We invite children ages 6 to 13 from Fauquier County and the surrounding areas to join our program. Five-year-olds may be considered on a case-by-case basis with Board approval.

Squad Placement

Squad placement is based on your child’s age as of August 1, 2025, and the high school zone you reside in: Kettle Run, Fauquier, or Liberty.

For those outside Fauquier County, placement will be determined by proximity to the nearest Fauquier high school.

Once a squad reaches its maximum capacity, additional cheerleaders will be placed on a waiting list and may be reassigned to the next closest squad if necessary.

Age Divisions

7U: Ages 6–7

9U: Ages 8–9

11U: Ages 10–11

13U: Ages 12–13

Sibling Placement

To support families with children in both football and cheer, we do our best to place siblings within the same zone to ensure consistent practice locations.

Season Overview

Following registration, your cheer coach will contact you with squad information, practice schedules, and team announcements.

Practice Schedule

Cheer squads will practice three days a week—twice for 1.5 hours and once for one hour of conditioning.

Practice times are scheduled between 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM and are based on field availability through Fauquier County Parks & Recreation.

Final schedules are determined by each squad’s head coach.

Registration Requirements

All cheerleaders must verify their age using one of the following:

State-issued ID (e.g., Walker’s ID)

Passport

Birth certificate with a school photo ID

Uniforms

The cheer uniform is now included with registration!

The uniform package includes:

Cheer dress

Bow

Shorts

These are yours to keep after the season. The fittings guide can be found on the registration website.
